We recently hosted a Bombshell Extensions class at Fresh, where we had the opportunity to learn two new extension methods. Its always exciting when we get to learn something new to bring to our guests….and this got me thinking. How much do our guests really know about extensions? And how many people are missing out on the benefits of extensions because the don’t realize how versatile they are?!
Well first of all, let me tell you about Bombshell and why they’re so amazing, and then we can talk about some of the other styles and methods. Bombshell Extensions, as the name implies, are amazing for the woman who wants that long, thick youthful looking hair that most of us can never grow on our own….I like to think of it as “Victoria’s Secret Model” hair. Whether its because your hair is naturally not quite as thick as you’d like it to be, or because you just can’t grow it to the length you want while keeping it healthy, Bombshell’s gorgeous 20 – 22” weft extensions can definitely give you what you’re lacking. Three benefits that make Bombshell standout are:
- The hair can last up to six months with proper maintenance. This means that while your initial investment is still on the high end, for long term wear these extensions are actually quite reasonable.
- The application is fast. An initial install can be done in two hours or less and depending on the method used, maintenance appointments can be less than thirty minutes.
- The third, and arguably the most important benefit, is these extensions cause very little damage to the hair, and on the contrary, can even be used to help get damaged hair back to its healthy state.
Two other types of extensions we do at Fresh are Cold Fusion and Tape-Ins. In Cold-Fusion, small bunches of Great Lengths hair are individually bonded around your natural hair, using ultrasonic vibrations to soften and wrap the bonds. A huge benefit to Great Lengths extensions is their versatility. Thanks to the small size of each bond, the wearer can pull off almost any hairstyle without worrying about her extensions showing.
Tape-Ins also come in smaller pieces of hair than the weft extensions (while not quite as small as Cold Fusion). Tape-In extensions use a special tape to sandwich a slice of natural hair between two pieces of extension hair. Like wefts, this hair can be reused for multiple applications, so maintenance appointments can be less expensive than initial installs.
The one thing that’s consistent across all the extension methods we perform is that they are completely customizable to your head, your hair, and your goals. We can use extensions to:
- Add length
- Add volume all over
- Change your color
- Fill in thinning spots
- Change or fix a cut
- Add a bold accent color
- Repair chemical damage
Truly, the possibilities are limitless. So if you see something you like, but have ever thought, “Well, I just don’t have that hair”, ask us! You just never know what kind of miracles we may be able to perform!
